JUSTIN DIAZ

Justin Diaz is a guy with a young face and an old soul, the kind of musician who’s lived more life by 28 than most people do in a lifetime. Born and raised in Napa Valley, Justin’s childhood was a mix of Dutch and Mexican heritage, but his real education came from the records spinning in the background—everything from Led Zeppelin to Billie HolidayAl Green to Pat Metheny. His home was a melting pot of sounds, and by the time he was old enough to hold a guitar, he had already mastered singing along.

Justin wasn’t just another kid strumming a guitar in the garage. By his teens, he had taken up the trumpetdrumspianoukulele, and guitar. And sure, he had the technical chops, but it was his smooth, soulful voice that really turned heads, making him a local favorite.

At 18, he did what most wouldn’t—he left. He traveled to Japan and the UK for his education, but the real lessons came from the world itself. By 28, Justin had made it to 65 countries and all 50 states—not as some tourist ticking off a checklist, but as a traveler, staying with strangers who became friends, sharing stories over good wine, soaking in sunsets, and diving deep into conversations that actually meant something.

In 2014, he returned to Napa Valley, but not to settle down—no, Justin’s not that kind of guy. He’s still out there, playing his heart out at corporate events, wineries, weddings, and even dementia wards, where he brings music to those who need it most. This is a guy who plays not just for applause but for connection. Music isn’t just what he does—it’s who he is, and everywhere he goes, he leaves a little of that soul behind.
