Close-up of Nicole Kubis delivering soulful vocals—available for events across Los Angeles, San Diego, and Orange County.

Nicole Kubis doesn’t just sing—she time-travels. A Southern California native with a voice soaked in style and soul, she’s spent her life circling the globe, bringing 1940s big band heat into the modern age. She’s the kind of vocalist who can croon like Helen Forrest one minute and kick down the doors with rock grit the next. Her early studio work with legends like Steve Allen, Jack Sheldon, and the Bergmans laid the groundwork for a career that refuses to sit still.

She’s the lead vocalist of the world-famous Tom Kubis Big Band and a long-running featured artist with the Long Beach Municipal Band. With The Swing Kittens—her Andrews Sisters-style trio—she’s toured Japan and the U.S. alongside the Glenn Miller and Billy Vaughn Orchestras, performing for everyone from royalty in Thailand to Steven Spielberg. She’s graced the stage with the Les Brown Orchestra, The Macon Pops, and LA’s Bonsera big band, and filled dance floors with the Darryl Walker tributes to Stevie Wonder and Al Jarreau. On top of that, she plays guitar and sings with the acoustic group ECLIPS3, blending sharp musicianship with rootsy cool.

By day, Nicole builds stars as the director of Huntington Beach High School’s MMET music program—an Apple Distinguished hub for young creatives. She’s earned a Master’s in Education, leads workshops on popular music and vocal technique, and still finds time to throw down with the best on stages across the West Coast. Her voice isn’t just precise—it’s alive, commanding, and unforgettable. If you’re booking music that actually moves people, Kubis belongs on your list.
